Ive been a fan of classic films and TV shows for as long as I can remember! The 1st movies I remember seeing in theater were “Star Wars” and “Jaws”. The 1st movie I EVER remember seeing was something with Jerry Lewis and triplets. I was about 4 yrs old at the time, so im not sure of the title. I love silent movies all the way upto the 70s . A few of my fave silent comedians are Keaton/Arbuckle (with Al St.John). I LOVE Buster Keaton!! I also love creepy silents like Nosforatu, anything with Lon Sr and anything with settings in haunted houses or asylums! I love anything “weird” dark and obscure, ( such as “London after dark) but also love to laugh at classic comedies such as Laural and Hardy, Marx bros, 3 stooges, Keaton, Abbott and Costello and anything with Marie Dressler and Wally Beery!
I love war movies from all time periods. Some of my faves are Battleground, The big parade, To hell and back, The great escape, and the Red badge of courage. I also love westerns such as Magnificent Seven. My fave western actor is Audie Murphy. I also love him in war films!
Another genre of film i like are ” forbidden films” and old outdated documenteries, which back then so seriously warned of the seedy side of life, but now seem kind of funny! I also enjoy Independent films and some sci fi films like Robinson Crusoe on Mars,Them, Forbidden Planet, The Thing and The Day the Earth Stood Still (The music in that movie still gives me chills!.)
Carnival of souls
I Love Hammer films, anything with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing together, classic horror/scary movies and creepy Jack the ripper movies, as well as movies to do with royal families, gangster movies (love Paul Muni,George Raft and James Cagney) cop dramas and disaster movies with all star casts such as Towering inferno and Posidon Adventure, and anything historical. Young Thomas Edison has been a fave for a long time, since im from Port Huron, MI (the film mentions PH several times as Tom lived there!)
I dont like to many “modern” movies but i did enjoy Downfall and housewife 49. I dont even bother watching new movies unless they are time period movies and an occational horror flick if its to do with asylums, haunted houses or creepy dolls.
